Poem: Knights in Shining Armour

Give me a mighty steed of white

To carry me swiftly through the night,

To the gates of the castle that holds you fast,

So that I can free you for love at last;

Give me a sword that will mightily slay,

The dragons that sit at your gate,

And all of the monsters whose existence will cease,

Then you can at last, my love, be released;

Give me arms to sweep you off your feet,

And melt your heart with love so sweet,

A voice to sing sonnets of love to your tower,

That you will fly down to my arms this hour;

I can be the princess the rescues the prince,

I took special training a long time since,

For my own dearest knight I am bound to defend,

For love, and for honour, and never to end.
